Marina Zurita brings to the stage ‘Moving On’, a new play by Anna Marcus-Hecht

Director Marina Zurita and playwright Anna Marcus Hecht

Moving On is a play about an overprotective big sister, a freedom-seeking little sister, and the gay therapist friend who mediates between them.

Bronwyn (Devlin Stark) is the high string older sister trying to make ends meet. Dia (Jennifer Daly) is the Younger sister who wants nothing more than freedom and Agency. Lindsey (Bridget Lynn) is the friend trying to decide whether to declare her love for Bronwyn or move on. A beautiful play about two sisters struggling to see through their relationship, given the recent death of their mother. A story about coming of age and caring for the people left behind with us.

The play moves smoothly and insightfully under the direction of Marina – an emergent director from Brazil who has been carving her path in the american theater industry with shows such as For The Time Being by Ana Moioli, and Saudades by Fernando Segall.

The star of the show is Devlin Stark, who portrays a character full of contradictions and relates to the words of Anna Marcus Hecht with genuine emotion.

Moving On will be presented by the SOOP to Nuts Festival – an initiative that promotes original plays by upcoming playwrights.
