We all have been taught since we learned to talk to be “someone”, you need to get a degree for it. But only some knew this that to be someone you need to be passionate about it and you just need to study skills regarding it. The success will follow you straightly! As college students prepare themselves for a new semester of higher learning and partying, we decided to look at some big-named actors and entrepreneurs who embraced academia and then made zillions of dollars doing something unrelated to their majors.
13. Ashton Kutcher (Study Skills)
Long before he was disappointing us with inexplicable romantic comedies, Ashton was studying biochemical engineering because he wanted to find a cure of a medical disease until he found a break from parties and considered modeling after winning a competition and he pursued acting as a career.

Many rumors have been floating in the air of why Brad Pitt dropped out of college only 2 weeks before graduation but all we know is the actor felt his current gig was going just fine without it! And that is how a “possible journalist” became a successful actor of Hollywood.

Known for his best comedy in Hangover, who would have known that Ken Jeong had medical as a major. He once said “Medicine is a hard-won skill, and acting can be a fickle profession. Most doctors have golf as a hobby, Jeong said: “mine was doing comedy”.
10. George Clooney:
Having no luck in sports he managed to get a small part in films and pursued his career as an actor. Later in life, he got bigger roles and now he has his career as a producer, actor, and businessman. All it took for him was to know what he was best at and he did it!
9. Lisa Kudrow:
We all know her as “Phoebe” from “F.R.I.E.N.D.S” who was studying biology to be a scientist but a sudden change in plan occurred as she suggests and viola! She became an actress. Who would have thought that being an actress would be that easy?
8. Mark Zuckerberg:
Although he never graduated, Zuckerberg who was a psychology major took mostly computer science classes. From a psychology student to the co-founder of one of the largest social networking website “Facebook”, Mark has covered a long route of success only because he knew how to study skills and set them up to some use.
7. Mayim Bialik:
Bialik plays a science geek on The Big Bang Theory and turns out she’s a bit of a nerd in real life. Well, who would have known that being a geek would be beneficial to be an actor too? Mayim is a perfect example of it. Her study skills have behooved her in her another career too. So never stop searching and never settle for less!
6. Jack Dorsey:
Jack Dorsey is an American businessman best known as the founder of the social networking site Twitter. He became interested in computers and communications at an early age and began programming. Twitter faced many challenges at an early stage but it came out to be a perfect success as we all know it now.
5. Rowan Atkinson:
Who doesn’t know this man? Everybody does! We all know him for his hilarious role as Mr. Bean but who knew the comedian came from an engineering background. Atkinson became the youngest performer to have had a one-man show in the West End. It is all about what is in you, and how you portray it.
4. Martha Stewart:
An American entrepreneur and television celebrity, who built a catering business into an international media and home-furnishing corporation, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. Getting a theoretical degree did not stop her trying something else. She worked as a stockbroker, party planner and she turned her study skills towards catering and launched her business in the similar field.

3. Natalie Portman:
Natalie Portman has been in the acting business since she was a kid, but she took a break to get herself a pretty impressive college education. She graduated from Harvard with a degree in psychology. Her life story announces, even if you have a settled career, it doesn’t mean that you stop taking chances with your life. Always keep trying till you get best!

Living up to her character, Hermione, in the “Harry Potter” series, Emma Watson is no stranger to doing exceptionally well in school. Thanks to her Hermione status, Emma Watson has been famous since she was a little girl. Still, she chose to take a little time out of the limelight to get her college degree. She has set up a perfect example of her fan following that achieving success and completing education can thrive together.
1. Steve Jobs:
An American entrepreneur, businessman, inventor and industrial designer, Steve Jobs. We all know who Steve Jobs is; he’s the genius who revolutionized modern technology. Jobs admitted he never enjoyed school structure and preferred to learn in unconventional ways that are why he dropped out of college. Dropping out was an option for him because he knew he could do better than just getting a college degree. In the end, he proved to do so. To be successful you need to focus on your study skills.
